The 30-share BSE index down 0.03 percent at 9,565.57 points
and the 50-share NSE up 0.06 percent at 2,918.55 points, off
their morning highs as inflation data came in higher than
expected.
India's annual inflation rose 6.61 percent in the 12 months
to Dec. 13, higher than the median forecast of 6.57 percent in
a Reuters poll of analysts.

GOVERNMENT BONDS -------------------------------
The 2018 bond yield at 5.54 percent, fluctuating in a
narrow range, from Wednesday's close of 5.61 percent, after
inflation data came in lower than last week, but slightly above
market expectations.
RUPEE --------------
The rupee at 48.06/07 per dollar, from Wednesday's close of
48.07/08, little changed from previous close.
INTEREST RATE SWAPS INROIS

Benchmark five-year swap rate at 4.75/4.85 percent, from
Wednesday's close of 4.81/4.91.
CALL MONEY --------------------
Call money rate at 5.70/5.75 percent, from Wednesday's
close of 6.00/6.15 percent, on adequate availability of funds.

The February contract MAUG9 on the Multi Commodity
Exchange of India at 13,084 rupees, up 10 rupees from the
previous close.
