The Canadian dollar traded at 81.60 cents US, down 0.47 of a cent on Tuesday. The U.S. dollar was trading at C$1.2255, up 0.71 of a cent.
Pound sterling was at C$1.77, down 0.51 of a cent and US$1.4430, down 0.55 of a cent.
The euro was at C$1.7325, up 2.94 cents.
