Indian equities markets opened in the green Friday, with a key index at 0.57 percent over its previous close, about 15 minutes into trading.
The sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) opened at 9,973.06 points and was trading at 9,960.26 points, a rise of 56.8 points or 0.57 percent from its previous close of 9,903.46 points.
The broader S and amp;P CNX Nifty index of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also ruling higher at 3,040.45 points at the same time, about 0.23 percent higher than Thursday's close.
The BSE midcap and small cap indices were also trading higher than Thursday.
