RTRS: SNAPSHOT-Indian stocks, gold, bonds, rupee, money

STOCKS .BSESN .NSEI
-----------------------
The 30-share BSE index up 0.6 percent at 9,963.11 points
and the 50-share NSE index up 0.45 percent at 3,047.15 points,
in anticipation of an economic stimulus package and rate cuts
to shore up the faltering economy, but a dim outlook for
quarterly earnings kept a lid on gains.

sectoral indices.
GOVERNMENT BONDS
-------------------------------
The 2018 bond yield at 5.36 percent, from the previous
close of 5.29 percent, as market participants booked profits
from a sharp rally in recent weeks, ahead of additional
supplies through a debt sale later in the day.
RUPEE
--------------
The rupee at 48.900/925 per dollar, from the previous close
of 48.76/78, off 1-week lows in afternoon trade as a rise in
the domestic equity market renewed hopes of fresh capital
inflows but some offshore demand weighed.
INTEREST RATE SWAPS INROIS
----------------------------
The benchmark five-year interest rate swap at 4.65/4.70
from a previous close of 4.52/4.61, in line with higher bond
yields as the central bank rejected bids at its intervention
bonds buyback on Thursday, casting a shadow on hopes of a rate
cut.
CALL MONEY
--------------------
Call money rate at 5.05/5.10 percent from the previous
close of 5.20/25 as demand for funds diminished on the last
day of the reporting fortnight with most banks having already
made arrangements to meet their reserve requirements.
GOLD <0#MAU:>
-------------
The February contract on the Multi Commodity Exchange of
India at 13,634 rupees, down 114 rupees from the previous
close.
