Crude-oil futures erased earlier losses, rising slightly as U.S. stocks extended gains. Crude for February delivery was last up 35 cents, or 0.8%, at $44.95 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. It fell as much as 8% earlier to $41.05.
