Crude-oil futures rose again Monday after Israeli troops entered the Gaza Strip over the weekend, escalating the conflict in the region. Light crude for February delivery climbed 86 cents in electronic trading to $47.20 a barrel, having reached $48.68 a barrel earlier in the session -- its highest price in around three weeks. Separately Russia's row with Ukraine over natural gas exports continued. European Union officials are due to meet in Brussels Monday afternoon to discuss the implications of Moscow's decision last week to cut off supplies.
