MW: Gold falls for second day as dollar strengthens
Gold futures fell for a second session Monday to approach $850 an ounce, as a rising U.S. dollar and falling crude-oil prices reduced the metal's investment appeal. Gold for February delivery was last down $26.90, or 3.1%, at $852.60 an ounce in North America electronic trading. The dollar index rose 0.5% and crude futures fell 1.2%.
