MUMBAI: Copper prices eased yesterday on the LME following the rising inventory pressure and the revival of US dollar.
LME Inventory registered a gain of 1500 tons on Monday to 342050 tonnes. The prices closed at $ 3150 per tonne, a gain of marginal $ 20. On MCX, the prices were tied down by the non-volatile movements in the LME.
MCX Copper February expiry closed the trades at Rs 159 per kg up Rs 0.35. It was unable to break the support 152 levels, which remain the testing level for this red metal today. Resistances are at 162 levels.
