MW: Gold falls for third session on stronger dollar
Gold futures fell Tuesday for a third consecutive session, briefly dropping below $840 an ounce for the first time in nearly two weeks, as a stronger dollar reduced the metal's investment appeal. Gold for February delivery was last down $14.40, or 1.7%, at $843.40 an ounce in early North America electronic trading. It fell to $838.80 earlier, the lowest since Dec. 25.
