NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Gold futures fell slightly in early Tuesday trading, after closing at the lowest level in one month in the previous session, as a stronger U.S. dollar reduced the metal's appeal as an investment alternative. Gold for February delivery was last down $2.50, or 0.3%, at $818.50 an ounce in North America electronic trading.
