LONDON — The U.S. dollar was mixed against other major currencies in European trading Wednesday morning.
The euro traded at $1.2915, up from $1.2891 late Tuesday in New York.

Tokyo - 89.89 Japanese yen, up from 89.82
Zurich - 1.1421 Swiss francs, down from 1.1473
London - 1.2613 Canadian dollars, down from 1.2653
The British pound was quoted at $1.3784, down from $1.3917.
In Toronto, the Canadian dollar opened at 79.37 cents US, up 0.48 of a cent from Tuesday. The U.S. dollar stood at C$1.26, down 0.76 of a cent.
The New York Mercantile Exchange gold futures closed on Tuesday at US$855.20, up $15.30.
