Treasury prices were mostly higher early Tuesday, pushing yields down, along with German bond markets after European Central Bank Governing Board member Guy Quaden said the central bank is "probably" ready to cut interest rates further. Ten-year note yields fell 5 basis points to 2.60%. Two-year-notes lagged before the government sells $40 billion of the securities, by far the most ever. Economic data later will include reports on home prices and consumer confidence.
