MW: Stock futures point to starting slump after jobless data
U.S. stock futures remained lower early Thursday, pointing to an opening drop on Wall Street, after the government reported further weakening in the labor market and a decline in orders for U.S. goods. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average were off 80 points at 8,242. Those for the S&P 500 were down 10.9 points at 861, and Nasdaq 100 futures declined 10.75 points to 1,220.5.
