AFP: Moderate rise in metal prices on higher LME advices
Prices of nickel, tin, copper, zinc and lead firmed up moderately on the non-ferrous metal market here today on good demand from industrial users coupled with higher advices from London Metal Exchange (LME).
Nickel rose by Rs 10 per kilo to Rs 690 from yesterday&aposs closing level of Rs 680 and tin by Rs 5 per kilo to Rs 720 as against Rs 715 previously.
Copper armiture and copper utensils scrap firmed up by Rs 3 per kilo each to Rs 213 and Rs 200 respectively as against Rs 210 and Rs 197 yesterday.
Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy and copper wire bar moved up by Rs 2 per kilo each to Rs 217, Rs 215 and Rs 245 respectively.
Copper sheets cutting, zinc and lead also ended slightly higher by a rupee per kilo each to Rs 206, Rs 75 and Rs 85 respectively.
