Base metal prices are getting steady in India. Base metals, like copper and nickel, consolidated on Friday by gaining Rs 5 per kg on sustained buying by stockists in line with firming global trend.
Traders said sustained buying by stockists and r eport of rising trend at London Metal Exchange mainly led to rise in copper and nickel prices.
At wholesale market in New Delhi, copper wire scrap, copper super-D-rod, copper wire bar and copper mixed scrap were remained in demand and added another Rs 2 each at Rs 225, Rs 247, Rs 252 and Rs 198 per kg respectively while nickel 4x4 edged up by Rs 5 to Rs 6 95-855 per kg.
