RTRS: Dollar trims losses vs yen after rise in retail sales
The dollar trimmed losses against the yen and pared gains versus the euro on Thursday after U.S. data showed an unexpected rise in retail sales last month.
The dollar rose to 90.22 yen from 90.05 before the data. It was last at 90.18, still down 0.3 percent on the day. The euro, meanwhile, trimmed losses versus the dollar to 1.2853 , still down 0.3 percent. It was at $1.2840 before the data's release.
