MCX Comdex – The composite index of metals, energy and agro-commodities was up by 0.18% at 18,805.34 points, MCX Energy was down by 0.20% to 1,533.01 points, MCX Metal was up by 0.11% at 2,335.93 and MCX Agri was up by 1.09%.
Bullion:
All bullion contracts moved up. Gold April 09 contract was up by 1.33% to Rs 15,661 per 10 grams and gold M March 09 contract was up by 1.27% to Rs 15,692 per 10 grams. Silver May 09 contract moved up by 1.50% to Rs 23,233 per kg and silver M February 09 contract up by 1.47% to Rs 22,960 per kg.
Gold Guinea March 09 contract went up by 1.13% to Rs 12,289 per 8 grams. Platinum March 09 contract gained by 2.98% to Rs 1,780 per 10 grams.
Metals:
Copper February 09 contract shrank by 2.72% to Rs 157.35 per kg, lead February 09 contract shrank by 2.25% to Rs 52.15 per kg, zinc February 09 contract moved down by 1.90% to Rs 54.10 per kg, Aluminum March 09 contract shrank by 1.06% to Rs 65.60 per kg, nickel April 09 was down by 1.39% to Rs 505.10 per kg while tin February 09 contract gained by 3.42% to Rs 574 per kg.
Energy:
CER May 09 contract went down by 3.12% to Rs 512 per ton, heating oil February 09 contract down by 1.43% to Rs 58.45 per US gallon, natural gas February 09 contract lost by 0.59% to Rs 201 per mmBTU while crude oil March 09 contract went up by 1.50% to Rs 2,500 per barrel.
Agri commodities:
PotatoTRWR May 09 contract rose by 0.63% to Rs 627.80 per 100 kgs, kapaskhlali March 09 contract rose by 1.78% to Rs 520.10 per 50 kgs and potato May 09 contract up by 2.36% to Rs 577.30 per 100 kgs while CPO March 09 contract lost by 0.77% to Rs 282.30 per 20 kgs, jute May 09 contract lost by 1.79% to Rs 2,170.50 per quintal, kapas April 09 contract down by 0.86% to Rs 470 per 20 kgs, mentha oil May 09 contract lost by 1.66% to Rs 502.50 per kg, pepper May 09 contract lost by 1.09% to Rs 10,847 per 100 kgs, cardamom May 09 contract down by 3.01% to Rs 572 per kg, chana March 09 contract shrank by 1.42% to Rs 2,294 per 100 kgs and refsoyoil April 09 contract lost by 1.51% to Rs 430.60 per 100 kgs.
