The euro gave up early gains against the yen as traders took profits after the yen was sold broadly. The euro briefly fell to 124.03 yen after hitting a seven-week high of 125.17 yen . It was last up 0.1 percent at 124.39 yen. "It seems the market has got long (on yen crosses) and the momentum has gone for now," said a London-based trader.
