The rupee continued to trade around 49.80 per dollar mark in early afternoon trade Wednesday as gains in local stocks and dollar surge abroad keeps it from going up or down to a certain extent.
The partially convertible rupee was at 49.80/81 per dollar at 2.30 p.m, off a high of 49.72 but 0.1 percent stronger than Tuesday’s close of 49.87/88 per dollar.
