LONDON (AP) - The U.S. dollar was mostly higher against other major currencies in European trading Wednesday morning. Gold fell. The euro traded at $1.2517, down from $1.2590 late Tuesday in New York. Other dollar rates: -99.30 Japanese yen, up from 98.32 -1.1811 Swiss francs, up from 1.1748 -1.2939 Canadian dollars, up from 1.2880 The British pound was quoted at $1.4090, up from $1.4077. Gold traded in London at $911.00 per troy ounce, down from $913.75 late Tuesday.
