New Delhi, Mar 4 In restricted activity, copper prices today rose by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital largely on the back of stockists buying in line with firming overseas trend.
Meanwhile, other base metals including nickel and lead continued to trade in a limited range on some enquiries from consuming industries.
Traders said apart from firming trends in global markets, pick up in demand from consuming industries also attributed rise in copper prices.
Copper wire scrap, copper super d rod, copper wire bar and copper mixed scrap were up by Rs 5 each to Rs 206, Rs 228, Rs 233 and Rs 184 per kg respectively.
