RTRS: US STOCKS SNAPSHOT-Futures hit lows after GM comments
U.S. stock index futures fell to session lows on Thursday after beleaguered U.S. automaker General Motors Corp (GM.N) said there was substantial doubt about its ability to continue as a going concern.
* A day after Wall Street mounted a relief rebound after a 5-day slide, the GM news added to anxiety as investors await another report on weekly jobless claims that may show more weakness in the labor market.
* GM also said if it was unable to successfully reorganize and debtor-in-possesion financing was unavailable, it would be forced to liquidate under Chapter 7 of the U.S. bankruptcy code. For details, see
