U.S. stocks on Thursday remained lower after the government reported weekly jobless claims proved a bit better than expected. Down about 90 points ahead of the data, futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average [s:$dia] were off 87 points at 6,743. S&P 500 futures fell 12.7 points to 695.7. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 dropped 7.5 points to 1,093.5.
