RTRS: Nikkei falls to lowest in more than 4 months
Japan's Nikkei stock average fell to a four-month low on Monday, hurt as automakers such as Honda Motor Co slid amid worries about the fate of General Motors If the benchmark were to end at its current level of 7,115.19, it would be the lowest close in about 26 years, though market participants have said buying by what they believe to be public pension funds has been supportive when it approaches 7,000.
The Nikkei lost 1.7 percent or 118.65 points to 7,054.45, within sight of a 26-year low of 6,994.90 marked last October.
