RTRS: Stocks lose ground as tech and energy gains ebb
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stocks turned negative in skittish trade on Monday as an earlier advance in the shares of energy and big-cap technology companies dissipated.
The Dow Jones industrial average .DJI was down 23.10 points, or 0.35 percent, at 6,603.84. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index .SPX was down 0.57 points, or 0.08 percent, at 682.81. The Nasdaq Composite Index .IXIC was down 5.20 points, or 0.40 percent, at 1,288.65.
