RTRS: Indian shares provisionally close up 1.9 pct
Indian shares provisionally rose 1.87 percent on Thursday, as trading resumed after a two-day holiday and investors tried to catch up with Wall Street gains during the break.
The 30-share BSE index .BSESN provisionally ended up 152.55 points at 8,312.95, with 24 stocks advancing.
Reliance Industries (RELI.BO: Quote, Profile, Research), which has the heaviest weight in the index, led the gains.
