RTRS: Dollar trims losses vs yen after U.S. retail sales data
The dollar trimmed losses against the yen on Thursday after U.S. data showed retail sales were better than expected and weekly jobless claims were not far from market forecasts.
The dollar rose against the yen to 96.56 , from 96.40 before the data's release. It was last at 96.55, still down 0.7 percent on the day. The euro edged higher to $1.2836 .
