RTRS: Euro rises, trades above $1.31 for first time since Jan
The euro extended gains versus the dollar on Wednesday to trade above $1.31 for the first time since the end of January.
The euro was last 0.8 percent higher at $1.3115 , after touching a session high of $1.3123. The European currency last traded at these levels at the end of January, according to Reuters data.
Traders said risk sentiment continues to improve, diminishing demand for the U.S. dollar and helping the euro break through key technical levels.
