BLBG: Canadian Dollar Advances Before Federal Reserve Statement
Canada’s dollar rose for a second day amid a decline in risk aversion as its U.S. counterpart dropped before a policy statement by the Federal Reserve.
The Canadian currency, which is known as the loonie, strengthened 0.6 percent to C$1.2623 per U.S. dollar at 9:03 a.m. in Toronto, from C$1.2701 yesterday. One Canadian dollar buys 79.22 U.S. cents.
