Gold fell from a three-week high in London as the dollar rebounded against a basket of major currencies and oil prices dropped, reducing demand for bullion as an alternative investment and inflation hedge.
Gold for immediate delivery slipped $1.24, or 0.1 percent, to $958.61 an ounce by 10:17 a.m. local time. The metal earlier rose as much as 0.8 percent.
