MW: Oil falls on worries swine flu will curtail travel
Crude-oil futures fell for a second session Tuesday, dropping below $50 on worries that the spreading swine flu will curtail travel, delay the recovery of the global economy, and reduce oil demand. Crude for June delivery lost 78 cents, or 1.6%, to $49.36 a barrel in early North American electronic trading. "There is a risk that the flu scare will hit international aviation travel, which would have a negative impact on demand for jet fuel," wrote analysts led by Barbara Lambrecht at Commerzbank AG in a note.
