The U.S. dollar deepened its losses against other major currencies on Tuesday after the Case-Shiller index showed that home prices fell 2.1% in February. The dollar index , a measure of the greenback against a trade-weighted basket of currencies, fell to 85.49, down from 85.74 earlier in the session. The dollar fell 0.7% against the Japanese yen to 96.04 yen. The euro rose 0.3% to $1.3053 and the British pound gained 0.3% to $1.4667.
