The Canadian dollar opened at 83.92 cents US this morning, up 0.79 of a cent from Wednesday's close. The U.S. dollar stood at C$1.1916, down 1.14 cents.
Pound sterling worth C$1.7683 down 0.87 of a cent, and US$1.4840 up 0.69 of a cent.
The Euro was worth C$1.5838, down 1.15 cents.
