RTRS: Euro up vs dollar on better-than-expected ADP jobs data
The euro rose against the dollar while the yen pared its gains against the U.S. currency after data showed the United States shed fewer than expected private sector jobs last month.
The euro rose to $1.3355 from about $1.3320 after ADP reported that private employers cut 491,000 jobs in April, below the 650,000 economists polled by Reuters had expected.
The dollar rose to 98.69 yen from around 98.40 yen before the data, though it remained down about 0.3 percent against the Japanese currency compared with late Tuesday.
