ET: Moderate fall in copper prices on lower LME advices
Prices of copper declined moderately on the non-ferrous metal market here today in the absence of industrial demand coupled with lower advices from London Metal Exchange (LME).
Elesewhere, nickel also dropped due to lack of industrial buying support.
Nickel fell by Rs 10 per kilo to Rs 735 from yesterday&aposs closing level of Rs 745.
Copper cable scrap and copper wire bar declined by Rs 5 per kilo to Rs 281 and Rs 309 respectively.
Copper scrap heavy moved down by Rs 4 per kilo to Rs 278, copper armiture by Rs 3 per kilo to Rs 276 and copper sheets cutting by Rs 2 per kilo to Rs 275.
Copper utensils scrap also ended slightly lower by a rupee per kilo to Rs 260.
However, aluminium ingots and lead edged up by a rupee per kilo to Rs 95 and Rs 93 respectively on mild buying support.
