BLBG: Copper Climbs as Manufacturing Jumps in Japan, Dollar Slumps
Copper advanced the most in almost two weeks in New York as Japan’s industrial output surged at the fastest pace in 56 years and the dollar declined.
Copper futures for July delivery rose 5.4 cents, or 2.5 percent, to $2.191 a pound at 8:18 a.m. on the New York Mercantile Exchange’s Comex division. A close at that price would be the biggest gain since May 18.
