The US currency showed strength versus it major counterparts during Monday early Asian session, reaching new multi-day highs against euro, franc and yen.
Dollar rose to a 6-day high of 1.0871 against the Swiss franc by about 2:05 am ET Monday, compared to Friday’s North American close at 1.0804. The near term support for dollar was seen around 1.098 point.
Against the European currency, the US dollar advanced during early deals on Monday, setting a 5-day high of 1.3932 at 1:25 am ET, with 1.373 seen as the near term resistance level. EUR/USD pair closed Friday’s late deals at the level of 1.4007.
USD/JPY pair moved up to a 4-day high of 98.52 early morning in Asia today, compared to Friday's closing value of 98.37. On the upside, 99.59 was seen as the next target level.
