NEW DELHI:, Mar 18 (PTI) Silver prices declined by Rs 108 to Rs 27,265 per kg in futures trading on Thursday as speculators off-loaded on the back of weakening global trend. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for July contract declined by Rs 108, or 0.39 per cent to Rs 27,265 per kg with an open interest of 1,160 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in May contract drifted by Rs 100, or 0.37 per cent to Rs 27,069 per kg in 13,127 lots.
Traders said off-loading by speculators on the back of weakening global trend led to fall in silver prices at futures market.
Meanwhile, silver traded lower by 9 cent to 17.42 dollar an ounce in Asia. - PTI
