NEW DELHI: Silver futures prices dropped by Rs 133 to Rs 26,660 per kg on Monday on emergence of selling by traders in line with a weak global trend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, July contract fell by Rs 133, or 0.5 per cent, to Rs 26,660 per kg with an open interest of 1,211 lots. Similarly, May contract declined by Rs 131, or 0.49 per cent, to Rs 26,458 per kg in 13,412 lots.
Traders said fresh selling by traders in tandem with a weak overseas trend mainly led to a fall in prices at the futures market.
Meanwhile, silver shed two cents to settle at $16.94 per ounce in the Asian region. — PTI
