NEW DELHI: Silver futures prices dropped by Rs 126 to Rs 26,690 per kg on Wednesday on emergence of selling influenced by a weakening global trend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, July contract dropped by Rs 126, or 0.47 per cent, to Rs 26,690 per kg with an open interest of 1,219 lots. May contract also fell by Rs 121, or 0.45 per cent, to Rs 26,495 per kg in 12,206 lots.
Traders said weak global trend led to a fall in silver futures prices here.
Meanwhile, silver declined by 0.9 per cent to $16.87 per ounce in the Asian region. — PTI
