TRD: Oil prices slide, gold and silver fall |

Oil prices slid on Wednesday as the dollar jumped against the euro on heightened fears about a debt crisis engulfing Greece and Portugal.
New York's main contract, light sweet crude for May delivery, dropped $US1.30 to $US80.61 a barrel.
London's Brent North Sea crude for May shed $US1.11 to $US79.59.
April gold futures fell $US14.90 to settle at $US1,088.80 per fine ounce.
May silver dropped 38.6 US cents to settle at $US16.641, while May copper fell 3.35 US cents to $US3.3455 per pound.
