On Friday (26 March 2010), the price of nickel rose on the non-ferrous metal market on fresh industrial demand coupled with firming of prices at the London Metal Exchange. Nickel rose by Rs 33 per kg to Rs 1,075. Tin firmed up by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 910.
Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper wire bar and brass utensils scrap all edged higher by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 368, Rs 359, Rs 396 and Rs 255 respectively. Copper armature, copper utensils scrap and lead all inched up by Re 1 per kg each to Rs 355, Rs 336 and Rs 108. Zinc moved down by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 126.
