LONDON (MarketWatch) -- European shares moved off early highs, as losses for oil giants worked to offset gains for miners and Vodafone Group (UK:VOD 150.40, +3.70, +2.52%) . Total (FR:FP 42.47, -0.29, -0.68%) shares were down 1% while BP (UK:BP. 626.00, -5.60, -0.89%) shares lost 1.1%. The U.K. FTSE 100 index lost 0.1% at 5,695.49, the French CAC-40 index declined 0.1% to 3,985.86 while the German DAX index gained 0.5% to 6,151.34. |
