NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Crude oil and metal futures rose on Monday, as investors gave a delayed thumbs up to Friday's U.S. jobs report, which showed the biggest gain in payrolls in three years, fueling hope for a recovery in demand for energy and materials. Crude oil for May delivery was up 87 cents, or 1%, at $85.77 a barrel in electronic trade. Copper for May was up 2 cents at $3.60 a pound and gold for June was up 10 cents at $1,126.20 an ounce.
