The price of crude oil closed up again yesterday at 86 dollars and 84 cents U.S....and, that followed news, that the national average price of gasoline had jumped another 2.7 cents a litre in the past week.
The new sixty city survey of Calgary-based, MJ Ervin and Associates, has the national average pegged at a $104.5, now more than three cents higher than the common posted price in Fort St. John.
After flirting with a late March increase of 8.7 cents a litre local filling station operators were holding their price steady early this morning at a $101.2.
That is also nearly six cents a litre below the latest provincial average price from BCGasPrices.com, which is $1.07 and still about 11 cents higher than a year ago.
