BLBG: Energy stocks fall after bearish inventory data

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Energy stocks fell after lackluster oil supply inventory data, with shares of petroleum producers and refiners weighing on the broad market. Oil inventories rose by a greater-than-expected 2 million barrels. The NYSE Arca Oil Index (XOI 1,103, -12.20, -1.09%) fell 1.3% to 1,101. The NYSE Arca Natural Gas Index (XNG 555.52, -2.54, -0.46%) fell 0.6% to 555. The Philadelphia Oil Service Index (OSX 215.05, -1.81, -0.84%) subtracted 1% to 215.
