TORONTO - The Canadian dollar opened at 99.72 cents US, up 0.05 cent from Thursday's close.
The U.S. dollar stood at 100.28 cents Cdn, down 0.05 of a cent.
Pound sterling was worth C$1.5508, down 0.43 of a cent and US$1.5465, down 0.35 of a cent.
The euro was worth C$1.3571, down 0.49 of a cent.
