(RTTNews) - The Japanese yen traded lower against most major opponents during New York mid-day trading on Monday. The yen dropped to 124.35 against the euro, 86.75 versus the Swiss franc and 141.34 against the pound at around 10:15 am ET from European session's multi-week highs of 123.16, 85.95 and 139.42, respectively. As of now, the yen is trading near 124.19 against the euro, 86.70 versus the franc and 141.70 against the pound.
Against the US dollar, the yen also edged down after hitting new multi-week high of 91.61 in previous session today. At 12:30 pm ET, the yen slipped to 92.34 versus the greenback, which may be compared to last week's closing value of 92.13.
