NEW YORK, April 27 (UPI) -- Crude oil prices fell to overnight on the New York Mercantile Exchange, dropping closer to $83 per barrel.
Stocks were flat on Wall Street to start the week, as concerns over debt in Greece continues to undermine confidence in the economic recovery. Signs of economic growth in the United States are considered incomplete without a stronger recovery in the labor market, underscoring concerns of weak demand.
Crude oil prices for June delivery lost 78 cents Tuesday morning to $83.41 per barrel. Heating oil prices for June lost 0.0065 cents in New York to $2.2572 per gallon. Reformulated gasoline blendstock prices for June lost 0.0103 cents, $2.335 per gallon. Henry Hub natural gas prices for June slid 0.067 cents to $4.284 per million British thermal units.
At the pump, the national average price for unleaded gasoline was $2.858 per gallon Tuesday, up from Monday's $2.854, AAA said.
