NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- U.S. stocks pared their decline Tuesday after a report showing consumer confidence rose in April. After a brief jump into positive territory, the Dow Jones Industrial Average (INDU 11,194, -11.49, -0.10%) was more recently off 10.5 points at 11,194.53. The S&P 500 Index (SPX 1,208, -4.45, -0.37%) fell 4.97 points to 1,207.08. The Nasdaq Composite (COMP 2,517, -6.09, -0.24%) shed 6.94 points to 2,516.01. |
